She has enjoyed several years of being portrayed positively by the media, but Kate Middleton could now be facing a turn in coverage following several reports of feuds with not only her sister-in-law, Meghan Markle, but also her former friend, Rose Hanbury.

Following months of reports of an alleged feud that has been taking place between the Duchess of Cambridge and the Duchess of Sussex, Middleton is once again becoming the focus of feud rumors, this time with her former relationship with Rose Hanbury taking center stage. According to reports, the former model, who was Middleton’s neighbor growing up in Norfolk, was “phased out” of the Duchess’ life—and it’s not entirely clear why.

Now, in addition to reports that Middleton and husband, Prince William, also cut off former friend Lady Melissa Percy after her divorce from Thomas van Straubenzee, a scathing report in the London Times over the weekend even referred to Middleton as the “vaporiser-in-chief,” and warned she would soon set her sights on Markle and make her “disappear” as well.

“No one wins against Kate,” the article claimed.

Now, in a follow-up on news.com, there’s a warning that Middleton should likely brace herself for an onslaught of negative publicity.

“This depiction of Kate is one of a woman who is crafty and who cruelly amputates friends when she decides they are persona non grata. That image is galaxies apart from the carefully honed construct of bland perfection we have been fed for years,” the article states. “We will likely never know if there is any truth in The Times piece but what is apparent is just how dramatically the narrative about the future Queen has changed in less than a year.”

Interestingly enough, the news.com article seems to paint the new look that Middleton is receiving as something that can be tied to Markle’s arrival within the royal family since she gave those that wanted someone to pit Middleton against the exact ammunition they needed.

However, according to the Daily Mail, when it comes to the alleged feud with Hanbury, the reports are actually nothing more than a vicious tumor that could be started with the intent of ruining Middleton’s previously stellar reputation.

“They see each other occasionally and like each other,” a source told the publication about the true extent of the relationship between Middleton and Hanbury. “They are not part of each other’s close circle. It isn’t even remotely a bosom-close friendship.”
