Prince William and Kate Middleton were traveling to Islamabad, Pakistan's capital, when they experienced extreme weather conditions during a flight that forced them back to the city of Lahore. Despite the "pretty bumpy" ride, the Duke and Duchess showed gratitude to the staff on board.

"We were looked after so wonderfully by the RAF who did a great job. Hugely grateful to everyone," Kate told reporters of the British Royal Air Force, according to People.

"I think it was quite an adventure really, it was pretty bumpy up there," she continued. "We were looked after so wonderfully by the RAF who did a great job liaising with everyone and got us home safely."

It's not surprising that Kate would praise the team that landed it's passengers safely. According to a royal insider, she shows her staff the same respect.

"She [Kate] takes the time to listen to ideas from the most junior members in her team," the insider shared. "Afterwards, they’ll say, 'Wow, she knows my name. She asked me what I thought.' She is also loyal and 'if you make a mistake will back you regardless.'"

The Duchess of Cambridge's graciousness is a good trait for her as the future Queen of England. When she steps into that role, Kate plans to champion a variety of causes that she is passionate about.

"She spent a lot of time at the start of her royal life learning about social issues and challenges like addiction, homelessness, mental health," a source revealed. "It became clear to her that one of the main causes of it all was things not going right in the early years, so she knows the potential advantages of doing things in this space. It’s about solving much bigger problems but doing it early."
