Keanu Reeves appeared on "The Late Show With Stephen Colbert" and discussed one of his most popular memes – the "Sad Keanu." The meme features the actor sitting alone on a park bench.

During the interview, shared by the official YouTube handle of the show Tuesday, host Stephen Colbert showed the "Sad Keanu" meme and compared it with Reeves' comic book, "BRZRKR." In both the photos, the characters looked extremely sad.

However, Reeves explained that he was "just eating a sandwich." When the 57-year-old host asked the actor if he was really sad about something, Reeves responded, "I was thinking. I had some stuff going on. I was hungry."

Reeves further noted that in the comic book, the characters were designed by Ron Garney. The "John Wick" star said he had no clue that Garney was going to draw the character based on his "Sad Keanu" meme.

"I think it's kind of meta," Reeves praised the artwork.

The host went on to ask the actor why he was so "memeable" and Reeves responded with Bill Withers' music track "Lean On me" but with some changes in the lyrics. "Meme on me / when you're not strong / I'll be your friend / I'll help you carry on," he sang.

Fans praised the actor for creating another meme with "Meme on Me" and for being a positive person.

"With 'Meme On Me' Keanu has created his greatest meme yet," one of the fans wrote, while another fan noted, "Keanu is so memeable cos he's weird in a good way and quite private personality. So love watching Keanu with Stephen Colbert. They connect."

Reeves will next feature in the highly anticipated movie "The Matrix Resurrections," which is slated to release on Dec. 22. He will also appear in the action movie "John Wick: Chapter 4," which is scheduled for May 27, 2022.

Soon after the fourth installment of the "John Wick" franchise, the actor will release "John Wick: Chapter 5." He also lent his voice to the "DC League of Super-Pets" animated movie.
