Yvette gets a substitute guardian for Kevin in next week’s Season 1 finale of “Kevin (Probably) Saves the World.”

According to the synopsis for Season 1, episode 16 of the ABC series, Yvette (Kimberly Hebert Gregory) makes a drastic decision regarding her future with Kevin (Jason Ritter) by involving a celestial colleague named Cindy (Leslie Jones).

As revealed by The Hollywood Reporter last month, Yvette reaches out to Cindy to serve as Kevin’s temporary guardian after Yvette starts to experience some very human weaknesses. Though Cindy’s decision to help Yvette couldn’t be more thoughtful, Kevin quickly realizes that Cindy’s approach is a little more intense.

As seen in the trailer for the episode, it looks like Cindy wants to make sure that Kevin is physically fit for his job as the righteous one. But when it appears that enlisting Cindy’s help ends up being a bad idea, Yvette ultimaltey decides to introduce herself to Amy (JoAnna Garcia).

“I’m afraid we’re out of options,” Yvette tells Kevin in the promo clip. Shortly thereafter, Yvette is seen at Amy’s doorstep, introducing herself to her once and for all. “I’m a friend of Kevin’s. He needs your help, “Yvette tells Kevin’s twin sister.

Elsewhere in the episode, Kevin helps a stranger honor his deceased uncle’s burial wishes and struggles with the idea that his relationship with Kristin (India de Beaufort) might be in jeopardy.

In a recent interview with Seat42F, Ritter said that while the season finale will answer some questions, it will also end with a massive cliffhanger. “There’s some answers and then there’s also a huge cliffhanger,” the actor said when asked what fans can expect from the season ender. “I mean, the second season will be a whole new dynamic. I imagine that the second season will have to pick up right where the first season ends because you have to find out what happens afterwards. But, yeah, it definitely was exciting to the finale and see how they kind of wrapped certain things up and then also opened a new cans of worms to make a second season very exciting.”

“Kevin (Probably) Saves the World” Season 1 finale, titled “The Right Thing,” airs on Tuesday, March 6 at 10 p.m. EST on ABC.
