Lady Gaga has revealed she wore a "bulletproof dress" to the inauguration of U.S. President Joe Biden in January.

The pop superstar gamely talked about her most iconic looks over the years in a video released by British Vogue Monday. One of the outfits she discussed was the one she wore to the inauguration.

According to the Grammy Award winner, who sang the national anthem at the historic event, the Schiaparelli Haute Couture look she had chosen to wear that day had something very special about it.

"This is one of my favorite things I've ever worn," she said in the clip. "I wore this Schiaparelli design for the inauguration, and nobody knows this, but this is a bulletproof dress."

Created by Daniel Roseberry, her look featured a structured navy fitted jacket and a red silk ball gown skirt. It remains unclear whether the dress itself was made bulletproof or Lady Gaga was wearing a bulletproof vest underneath her ensemble.

The singer also talked about the gold dove brooch she used back then, which featured an olive branch in its beak. She explained that she wore it as a symbol of peace.

"When I saw that golden dove, I just knew that this was the right piece," she added.

"And I knew, Schiaparelli being an Italian fashion house, it was something that I really, really wanted to do for my heritage as an Italian-American woman that would be singing for President 45 to be leaving and to invite President 46 into office," she continued.

Lady Gaga went on to reminisce about Marine Capt. Evan Campbell, who escorted her to the microphone before she sang the national anthem.

"And I'll never forget speaking to this young man that I was with. He was asking me if I was nervous and I said yes. But sometimes, fashion can really give you wings… like a dove," she said further.

Speaking about her experience at the inauguration, Lady Gaga told People back in January that it was the "honor of my lifetime" to be able to perform that day.

"I wish to send an extended prayer out to all the people that live on this land, that you will feel whole, that you will feel loved, that we all work in the interest of building the beloved community together," she said at the time.
