  • She deleted the announcement just hours after posting it
  • Twitter users had a mixed reaction to Pippen's COVID-19 diagnosis announcement

Larsa Pippen has revealed that she tested positive for COVID-19 in a social media post, but she immediately deleted the announcement.

Pippen made headlines this week due to her tell-all interview and bombshell revelations about the Kardashians. On Friday, the "Real Housewives of Miami" alum, 46, made another huge announcement, revealing that she has been enduring pain due to the coronavirus.

"I’ve been battling Covid for a week. It’s no joke I’ve never felt pain like this!" she captioned a photo of her bare legs on her Instagram Story, Page Six reported.

But when Pippen's post started to make noise online, it disappeared from her Instagram Story. Page Six reached out to Pippen's rep but has not yet received a response.

Meanwhile, Twitter users had a mixed response to Pippen's deleted post. Some expressed concern over her condition, but others mocked Scottie Pippen's estranged wife, claiming that she was using her diagnosis as a publicity stunt.

"Is covid the new publicity stunt?" one Twitter user commented.

"Covid is the newest trend for celebrities it seems with all the announcements they make," another netizen wrote.

Another Twitter user accused her of "[doing] anything for a headline," citing her recent revelations about former friend Kim Kardashian and her famous family.

"Yeah looks like a real struggle for her," one commented, adding a facepalm emoji.

"I know when I feel terrible pain I always fight through it to take a photo of my bare legs and pedicure so that agony can be properly demonstrated to the world," one wrote with a face with rolling eyes emoji.

Other fans sent her messages of support, wishing her a quick recovery.

"Hope her a quick recovery," Robert Morton wrote.

"And there are still people that don’t believe Covid is to be taken seriously! Get better Larsa!!" another wrote.

Earlier this week, Pippen claimed in an interview with the “Hollywood Raw” podcast that Kanye West was the main reason behind her falling out with the Kardashians. She accused the Yeezy founder of "brainwashing" his wife until Kim eventually unfollowed her on Instagram in May.

“I didn’t feel any type of way. I just felt, like, do what’s best for your family,” she said of the KKW Beauty founder Monday. “I love you, you and I are best friends, we’ve been through everything together, I would never do anything to jeopardize our relationship, we’re like sisters, we’re family, but if you have to unfollow me to make your home a better place, do it.”
