The ongoing spread of COVID-19 has continued to create obstacles for the daily operations of various television shows, but "Late Show" host Stephen Colbert is ready to begin getting things back to normal.

On Wednesday, the comedian shared on his Twitter account that the CBS talk show will return with new episodes on March 30. This development, said Colbert, came after "some amazing work by my staff and the CBS broadcasting folks." His tweet can be seen below.

According to Deadline, Colbert was the first late-night personality to begin posting online videos following the hiatus of his program due to the coronavirus pandemic. His show is not the first to return to airwaves, though (that honor goes to "The Daily Show").

Initially, Colbert's 10-day break had been scheduled due to the comedy show taking time off for March Madness coverage surrounding the NCAA basketball tournament. However, COVID-19's spread ultimately altered those plans once the games were canceled.

As of a result of the health crisis shutdown, Colbert reportedly began discussing how to make his return to the late-night show. It has been said that those behind the scenes were interested in finding a way to create new, hour-long episodes, which would require the assistance of "Colbert, his staff and his crew working remotely from home, and the logistics necessary to make that happen."

In the meantime, the "Late Show" host has been sharing a variety of clips to his social media, including one showing him changing a bike inner tube.

In the subsequent time since the novel coronavirus has extended its spread around the U.S., other shows similar to Colbert's have also amended their operations in order to film in new and unexpected ways. NBC’s "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" is one of the other programs that have found new ways to reach fans amid the break from their traditional broadcasting. One of the recent episodes can be seen below.

"The Late Show With Stephen Colbert" typically airs weeknights at 11:35 p.m. EDT on CBS.
