  • "Elden Ring" was announced at the E3 2019
  • From Software has not yet provided any new information about the game
  • The latest pieces of concept art may have revealed details about the game's villains and settings

Over the past weeks, several pieces of alleged "Elden Ring" concept art surfaced online, providing fans something to speculate about in the absence of official information from game developer FromSoftware. While the leaks do not offer much about the game, they give more than what the game developer can offer for now. Interestingly, it also hinted at some of the details on the villains of the upcoming game.

On Reddit, artist Gabriel Bjork Stiernstrom, who worked on the game's trailer, shared some of the pieces he created. For the most part, his art pieces focus on the female blacksmith, who is famous among fans as she is shown in the official game trailer. The artist explained that his art style was influenced by the wishes of FromSoftware.

Looking at his creations, it is easy to see the interplay of pale magic, dark and light and barren settings, which could all be present in "Elden Ring." It is highly likely that the environment in the upcoming game will have these elements at play. There might be dungeons and magical places that give an eerie feel just with their emptiness.

"Elden Ring" insider Okami shared on Twitter last December a couple of concept art pieces of the game. Some fans already saw the red-haired character donned in heavy armor from the announcement trailer. If this is indeed one of the villains of FromSoftware's upcoming title, it only shows that the game has some "Dark Souls" influence on it.

The other concept art shows a snake-like creature with the face of a man positioned on top of its own limbs. As per Gamerant, this enemy would be most likely found on the dungeons or ruins in the game's map. Its appearance resonates with the dark-fantasy element "Elden Ring" has, the site added.

As of writing, FromSoftware has not revealed any new about "Elden Ring." According to rumors, the game might be released this year. The game was initially announced to launch on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4. However, with the arrival of the new generation gaming consoles, it is safe to assume that it will also be available on PS5, Xbox Series S and Xbox Series X.
