Lee Min Ho is set to make his television comeback soon. Most, if not all, fans of the 32-year-old South Korean actor are very much excited about his imminent return to the limelight after serving in the military for two years. So, what’s next for Suzy Bae’s ex-boyfriend?

Reports have it that Lee Min Ho is part of the upcoming SBS fantasy drama titled “The King: The Eternal Monarch.” The series, which is expected to air in early 2020, will tackle the story of two parallel universes of democracy and monarchy. Min Ho is said to portray dual roles in his next television show – something that Song Joong Ki did in the recently concluded “Ärthdal Chronicles” series.

Hello Kpop reported that the “City Hunter” actor will portray as the powerful Korean Emperor Lee Gon, who will try to close the gateway that connects the two worlds. Lee Min Ho’s other role is the hardworking South Korean detective named Jung Tae Eul.

No other details about the plotline have been made public as of yet. However, it was, previously, revealed that Kim Go Eun, Woo Do Hwan, and Jung Eun Chae will join Lee Min Ho as regular cast in the forthcoming “The King: The Eternal Monarch” series.

Highly acclaimed writer Kim Eun Sook will write the storyline of Lee Min Ho’s next project. She is the brain behind other successful drama series such as “Goblin,” “Mr. Sunshine,” “The Heirs,” and “Descendants of the Sun.” “The King: The Eternal Monarch” also serves as Eun Sook’s reunion with Min Ho and Go Eun, who starred in “The Heirs” and “Goblin,” respectively.

The entire cast and crew of the imminent new television series, reportedly, had their script reading on Sept. 17 in Seoul City, South Korea. The production is expected to start within the second half of the current year.

“Actually, the script is out already. We’re going to start filming soon, the earliest we may begin filming is in September,” Lee Min Ho revealed during an Instagram live broadcast in August. “The drama is scheduled to begin airing in March,” he furthered.

Before he ended the broadcast, Lee Min Ho vowed to work hard to make sure that he makes his devoted followers happy.
