“The Librarians” Season 4 is coming back to TNT tonight with a back-to-back special, just like last week.

For the first hour, “The Librarians” Season 4 episode 3, titled “…And the Christmas Their,” will be aired. According to the synopsis for the installment, Santa Claus takes Jenkins (John Larroquette), Flynn (Noah Wyle) and Baird (Rebecca Romjin) on his first vacation in centuries. Since no one would be there to fulfil Santa’s duties in his absence, he has tasked the Librarians to look after his beloved sleigh.

Things go awry when Ezekiel’s (John Kim) mother steals the magic door and goes missing. To save the latter, Ezekiel and the rest of the team use Santa’s sleigh. However, they soon find out that they also need to save Christmas from Santa’s brother, who is apparently the Patron Saint of Thieves.

A sneak peek at episode 3 shows Santa’s Grinch of a brother confronting Ezekiel and the team about the magical sleigh. He even expresses his strong desire to destroy Christmas when he says, “Soon, Santa’s sleigh shall be mine to destroy,” in the clip.

For the second hour, “The Librarians” Season 4 episode 4, titled “…And the Silver Screen” is going to take viewers to the classics. The synopsis for the fourth installment reveals that Flynn and Baird get sucked into the latter’s favorite classic Film Noir movie. This results to strange adventure that revolves around movie magic.

The Librarians are challenged to mastering the craft of lassoing, sharpshooting and snappy dialogue. Failure to do so will have grim consequences, such as not making out of the black-and-white movie alive.

The promotional material for episode 4 shows has a cinematic feel to it since most of the scenes are shown on the silver screen. Though getting stuck in a movie is going to be tough for Flynn, there’s a big chance that he and Baird will make it based on Baird’s statement in the preview. “I know everything about this office. I’ve seen it ten times. And I don’t think we’re going about this the right way. I don’t think the way out is out there,” she says while pointing at the big screen.

“The Librarians” Season 4 episode 3, “…And the Christmas Their,” and episode 4, “…And the Silver Screen,” air tonight on TNT at 8/7c and 9/8c, respectively.
