Self-love advocate Lizzo dropped the music video of her new single, “About Damn Time” which is part of her new album titled, “Special” set for release on June 15.

The four-minute music video begins during a “Stressed and Sexy” support group session which Lizzo exits to avoid answering a question thrown by the facilitator. The singer heads down the hallway and starts singing and dancing.

“Oh, I’ve been so down and under pressure/I’m way too fine to be distressed, yeah. I’m not the girl I once used to be,” she sings as she looks at her reflection in a mirror where she suddenly changes into a glittery, blue outfit. She continues singing in the hallway and an empty office.

In one part of the video, the 33-year-old “Rumors” singer plays the flute while standing atop a pool of water surrounded by synchronized swimmers. “I’m coming out tonight,” the songstress sings as a group of plus-size dancers jam with her. The video ends with Lizzo returning to the support group after dancing in the hallway.

The singer also shared an image of the album’s cover on her Instagram page showing her in a glittery armor-inspired headpiece. “SPECIAL. THE ALBUM. JULY 15,” she captioned her post.

Lizzo previously teased her upcoming album on “The Late Late Show” with James Corden and revealed it took her three years to finish it. Asked by Corden where she gets feedback for her album, the “Truth Hurts” singer replied, “My friends, they will tell me, ‘this ain’t it girl’ or once they start twerking, I’m like, ‘this is it,’” she said with a huge laugh. Later in the segment, Lizzo invited Gabrielle Union to make a TikTok dance of the song.

“I think that the music really is going to speak for itself,” Lizzo said in an interview with Zane Lowe on Apple’s “New Music Daily” as cited by People. “I’m writing songs about love from every direction, and I hope that I can turn a little bit of the fear that’s been running rampant in this world, energetically into love. That’s the point.”
