Apparently, Carlton Morton hasn’t been receiving the same positive attention many of his “Love Is Blind” co-stars have.

On Thursday, Carlton, 34, told TMZ that he regrets waiting to tell his ex-fiancée, Diamond Jack, that he was bisexual after they were engaged. He’s also questioned if he should have been a part of the Netflix series at all.

“I do regret it now,” he admitted. “I didn’t think that it would be such an issue because I felt like it was a face to face conversation, but being that I see how it has affected our story I’m beginning to regret even–– maybe even being a part of it.”

His decision to withhold his sexuality and call Diamond out has reportedly led to the star receiving quite a bit of negative attention, which he mentioned during the Season 1 reunion special.

“I want them to know that I’m dealing with this the best that I can,” he said. “Obviously, every day is new waking up to death threats in my DMs, social media, comments. Just feeling again like I have to rally behind myself constantly…”

The reality star’s comments come after he made a concerning post on social media earlier this week expressing his frustration with the media and the lack of support he was receiving from those he thought were his celebrity friends.

He captioned the post: “Thanks for the 3 of y’all who supported me in this. I feel alone and don’t want any of this life anymore. I’m fighting ALONE. And it HURTS.”

At some point, after Carlton shared the post, a 911 call was made from his home regarding a non-life threatening injury. While expressing a little bit of shame about the ordeal, Carlton told TMZ that he’s fine.

“I’m okay,” Carlton explained. “I had a very tough day and some people apparently wanted to check on me and that’s all I can really say about it right now. Yeah, it’s kind of embarrassing and I just feel like the world hates me right now.”

Carlton said he is meeting with a therapist to strengthen his health as he deals with the not so pretty side of fame.

“I feel like therapy is everything and it’s something that in the black community we don’t really talk about,” Carlton added. “It’s very important right now to go to those types of sessions.”

[Warning: Spoiler Alert!]

During the “Love Is Blind” reunion, Carlton got down on one knee and apologized to Diamond, who said she’d been receiving death threats as well, for disrespecting her in Mexico. He also made clear that he never felt that his ex had any type of phobia toward the LGBT community.

You may also recognize Carlton from his Season 5 appearance on “The Real Housewives of Atlanta.” In the 2012 season premiere, Carlton got into a heated argument with cast member Kenya Moore while serving as Cynthia Bailey’s assistant. The argument took place after Carlton called out Kenya for her negative comments about the models during a casting call for JET magazine’s “Beauty of the Week” event, People reports.

Let’s see if Carlton will return to reality TV as he struggles to overcome his new claim to fame.
