“Lucifer” Season 2, episode 15 will see Lucifer Morningstar (Tom Ellis) being forced to control something he’s never had to before: his emotions.

In “Deceptive Little Parasite,” he needs to figure out a way to utilize the flaming sword. In the previous episode, Charlotte (Tricia Helfer) told her son, Lucifer, that the flaming sword is the only hope for their entire family to return to Hell safely. Lucifer, who doesn’t necessarily want to return home, will be left with no other choice but to ignite the flaming sword by controlling his feelings.

The installment is also heavily focused on Trixie (Scarlett Estevez), and by the looks of it, the young girl will be helping Lucifer with his new mission. The two will also be spending time together since Trixie’s mom, Chloe (Lauren German), will be busy with her own work at the department.

Elsewhere, Chloe will be investigating the death of the head of admissions at a prestigious private school. Initially, Chloe will be searching for a therapist she can talk to, but this may not happen when she chances upon the death of the mysterious character.

Meanwhile, the writers of “Lucifer” Season 2, episode 15 recently revealed that the installment was written by Julia Fontana and Mike Costa. Majority of the episodes every season are penned by different writers. Next week’s Season 2, episode 16, titled “God Johnson,” was written by Jason Ning. The installment will introduce Timothy Omundson’s character, God Johnson, for the first time in the hit FOX series.

The network also released a synopsis for episode 16 which revealed that Lucifer and his team will be heading to a mental asylum due to a mysterious murder. While there, Lucifer will come face-to-face with a man named Johnson, who also happens to call himself God. Lucifer is unsure whether or not God Johnson is telling him the truth, but when he starts narrating certain events that only Lucifer knows of, the latter becomes alarmed.

While speaking with TV Line, showrunner Joe Henderson explained how Lucifer will contemplate on the possibility that God Johnson and his dad, God, are the same person. “He claims to be God, and Lucifer doesn’t quite believe him. But as they go on, he starts to realize, ‘Maybe this is my dad, and if so, what do I do about that?’” he said.

If Lucifer discovers that God Johnson is indeed his father, the former would have to decide whether or not he should be reunited with Charlotte. The estranged couple decided to go their separate ways since they have been feuding nonstop. But with or without Lucifer’s help, it seems that God Johnson and Charlotte will definitely cross paths before the finale episode. After all, episode 17, titled “Sympathy for the Goddess,” will be Charlotte-centered. The matriarch will try to provoke some sympathy from her son, so that he will choose to side with her over God Johnson.

“Lucifer” Season 2, episode 15 will air on FOX on May 8 at 9 p.m. EST.
