Macaulay Culkin, who appeared in the popular Christmas holiday movie "Home Alone" in 1990, set the record straight regarding the rumors surrounding his appearance in the reboot titled, "Home Sweet Home Alone."

Culkin, 41, took to Twitter Wednesday to confirm he is not going to make an appearance in the upcoming movie. However, he wished good luck to everyone "involved" in the movie.

"Hey y'all. Just a heads up since I've been getting this question a lot today: I am NOT in the new 'Home Alone' reboot," he wrote. "I wish all involved the best of luck though," he added.

Since the actor made it clear that he isn't in the reboot, many fans took to the comments section to share their reaction. While some fans gave ideas for his appearance in the "Home Alone" franchise, others praised him for his decision.

A fan commented, "You should though. Maybe at the end of the movie just 5 seconds. Please think about it. If you say yes I wanna get rich with my idea and get a percentage of the movie."

Another fan suggested, "How about an R-rated version where Kevin is all grown up and the 2 burglars have just been released from prison and thirsty for blood?"

One of the fans shared posters of "Home Alone" movies that featured Culkin, noting, "It's not the same without you Culkin."

However, there are fans who supported the actor for avoiding the reboot. One fan wrote, "I think you did well to avoid it. I still believe the best modern version of 'Home Alone' is the Google advert you did," referring to Culkin's 2018 advertisement for Google Assistant.

The upcoming "Home Alone" movie is directed by Dan Mazer and stars Archie Yates along with Aisling Bea, Ellie Kemper, Rob Delaney and Pete Holmes.

Culkin, on the other hand, is a regular on the TV series, "American Horror Story." The actor was also featured in the comedy series "Dollface," which premiered in 2019.

On the personal front, the actor was married to actress Rachel Miner from 1998 to 2002. He started dating actress Brenda Song in 2017 and they now share a 6-month-old baby boy, Dakota Song Culkin.
