Madhuri Dixit has joined the list of the Indian actors who have been immortalized in wax at London's Madame Tussauds museum.

The Bollywood diva unveiled her wax statue Wednesday, joining other B-town celebrities like Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Aishwarya Rai, Hrithik Roshan, Salman Khan and Kareena Kapoor.

The first thing I thought was if I had a twin sister she would look like this, I'm sure, Daily Mail quoted Madhuri as saying.

It's very flattering, it's also an honor to be here. You know, something like this is for posterity. It's a legacy that I will leave behind. And not only my fans today but for generations to come will take a look at this and will say 'Oh, this is one of the actresses' and so it's an honour, definitely and like they say imitation is the best form of flattery so it's all very flattering that I have a statue here, a wax figure.

The 44-year-old star of hit films like Tezaab, Devdas, Dil to Pagal Hai and Beta said in a statement: I am thrilled to be here in Madame Tussauds unveiling a wax figure of myself. It's incredible just how detailed the figure is - they have captured my look beautifully! I feel very humbled to be included alongside other Bollywood stars and some of my personal heroes.

Madhuri was involved in the creation of the wax statue. She attended a sitting in Mumbai where sculptors captured a catalogue of reference photographs and hundreds of precise measurements to create this staggering likeness, according to the Madame Tussauds Web site.

Madhuri donated the beautiful pink sari her statue is wearing. The statue took about four months to make at a cost of 150,000 pounds. The figure also has a heavy neckpiece. The figures look is complete with the million dollar smile that the actress is known for.

We know Bollywood fans will be delighted as we have been inundated with requests to make Madhuri's figure and hope they agree it is a wonderful likeness. With so many awards to her name and a career spanning over 25 years she undoubtedly deserves her place here at Madame Tussauds London, says a statement at the Madame Tussauds Web site.
