After Major Biden made major headlines earlier this week for showing aggressive behavior towards White House staff, the Secret Service member has stated that this has been blown out of proportion.

The 3-year-old German Shepherd rescue, along with his 13-year-old brother Champ, were both sent back to the Biden family home in Delaware after this biting incident.

While the name of the Secret Service staff hasn’t been released, direct sources have explained that this was an “extremely minor injury.”

Major hasn’t had the easiest time adjusting to his new home and has been misbehaving by jumping, barking and “charging” at staff and security, according to CNN.

Americans are curious as to why this has made headlines, as well as why news outlets made it out to be worse than it really was.

Not only has this news confused Americans as to why it made headlines, but it’s also caused a political argument between Republicans and Democrats.

Biden’s furry companions will be coming back to live at the White House in the near future. The First Dogs' trip to Delaware was "previously planned," according to White House press secretary Jen Psaki.

"Champ and Major, the president and first lady's dogs, members of the family, are still getting acclimated and accustomed to their new surroundings and new people," Psaki said at Tuesday's press briefing. "And on Monday, the first family's younger dog, Major, was surprised by an unfamiliar person and reacted in a way that resulted in a minor injury to the individual, which was handled by the White House Medical Unit, with no further treatment needed. It had been previously planned already for the dogs to be cared for by family friends in Delaware during Dr. Biden's travels to military bases this week, she has a three-day trip this week, and the dogs will return to the White House soon."
