Former "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo" star Mama June Shannon and her unofficial husband Mike Thompson, better known as Sugar Bear, are finally opening up about their rocky marriage. In 2014, June released a statement in which she announced that she and her beau had decided to take a break in an effort to sort things out in their relationship. The announcement came amid rumors the mother of four had kicked him out after learning that he had been unfaithful, though neither she nor Sugar Bear commented on the rumors.

More than one year later the couple have sought out the help of Jim and Elizabeth Carroll on WE's "Marriage Boot Camp" and appear to be doing well. In a recent interview with TooFab Sugar Bear came clean about his cheating, acknowledging that it was the most prevalent problem they had. He went on to say that he knew it was wrong and regretted having done it. Sugar Bear confessed to the publication that his infidelity went far beyond "Internet chatting." June said Sugar Bear, who she married in an unofficial ceremony in May 2013, had cheated on her with the wife of one of his co-workers who she considered "a good friend."

"My biggest issue was my cheating," Sugar Bear said. "I've done that and shouldn't have and I look back on it, I regret it, and I wanted to go to 'Marriage Boot Camp' and get the help that I need."

It was revealed in June that June and Sugar Bear would be featured in the fourth season of "Marriage Boot Camp." Us Weekly reported they would be joined on the series by "The Bachelor" couple Sean and Catherine Lowe (née Giudici), as well as "Love & Hip Hop Atlanta" stars Benzino and Althea Eaton.

June and Sugar Bear's relationship woes have been anything but a secret. In 2014, rumors surfaced that Sugar Bear had been removed from the family's Georgia home at June's request after she learned he'd been chatting with other women online. The former TLC star shortly after released a statement in which she said they would be taking some time apart. Months later it was reported that she had moved on, finding comfort in the arms of a former lover Mark McDaniel, who served 10 years in prison on child molestation charges.

It remains unclear exactly when June and Sugar Bear decided to give love another shot. "Marriage Boot Camp" Season 4 premieres Friday, Dec. 4, at 9 p.m. EST on WE TV.
