Jessica “Chubbs” Shannon received some criticism when she shared a life update and a supposedly inspirational message to her fans on social media this week.

The 25-year-old daughter of Mama June Shannon took to Instagram Wednesday to share a video montage of what she’s been up to in the past year. She compiled her previous posts on TikTok and Instagram for the clip.

“You can’t master your entire life in one day. Master the day. And the[n] keep doing it EVERY day,” she wrote in the caption.

However, the “Mama June: Road to Redemption” star’s post did not generate the responses she may have been hoping for. Some Instagram users called her out for gaining weight after undergoing weight loss surgery. Others questioned her career plans outside of reality television.

“You blew the weight loss surgery. You need to find a damn job! Come on girl. You were the only one to go to college. You had a boyfriend back in the day,” one wrote.

“This girl is a loser. When [are you] gonna stop living off [your] sister? Get [your] own place and [your] own man,” another user commented on Jessica’s situation since she’s still living with her younger sister Lauryn “Pumpkin” Shannon and the latter’s family.

“Didn’t you go to college for nursing? What happened to that?” a third user asked.

Meanwhile, other fans urged Jessica not to mind the negative comments on her post. They also complimented her for looking beautiful in the photos and videos she compiled.

“You’re absolutely beautiful inside and out. Don’t ever let this cruel world change who you are,” wrote one fan.

“Don’t allow the mean [people] to get [you] down! [You’re] a smart beautiful young lady. [You] know what [you] need to do for [yourself]. Keep being [you],” another added.

“Girl, you are beautiful inside and out. Never let anyone tell you differently,” a different fan stated.

It was not the first time Jessica got slammed on the photo-sharing platform. In February, she was heavily criticized for promoting a controversial weight loss drink that Mama June also endorsed.

Some called her out for spitting out the concoction in the clip she uploaded despite claiming that it was what she needed to have her “energy back up” and curb her appetite.

Others said the product clearly did not work for her since she gained weight, so she was misleading the public. In April 2020, the former “Here Comes Honey Boo Boo” star reportedly splurged on weight loss surgery and enhancement procedures to achieve her ideal body size.
