A 22-year-old man in India died after being hit by a train while posing for a video along a railway track.

Sanju Choure, a resident of the state of Madhya Pradesh, was struck and killed Saturday. A video of the incident shows Choure standing too close to the railway line as the train approaches. The driver of the train could be seen blowing the horn, following which the vehicle reaches Choure, and hits him. The video has since gone viral on social media.

According to the police, Choure planned to film a "daring" video of himself and upload it on his social media account. Choure's friend, who shot the video, said the train hit him in "the blink of an eye," media outlet The Times of India reported.

The video contains graphic images. Viewers' discretion is advised.

"The man was shooting a video along with his friend for uploading on social media accounts when he was hit by a train in Sharaddev Baba area at around 5:30 pm. He was rushed to a hospital where doctors declared him dead on arrival," officer Nagesh Verma with the Pathrota police station was quoted as saying by India Today.

The incident is being investigated by the police.

In a similar incident, a man standing in front of a moving train in the state of Telangana died after being struck. A video of the incident taken by a witness, showed the man standing in the middle of a rail track while a train neared him. Some passengers on the platform could be heard screaming to the man to move out of the way. The train driver also repeatedly blew the horn to alert the victim. But, he stood still until the train struck him. Following initial investigation, the police found the man was mentally unstable, The Times of India reported.

In another incident, two 14-year-old boys who were engrossed in playing a popular mobile game were crushed to death by a train. The police found two cellphones at the scene, and one still had the video game playing on the screen.

According to the latest government data, about 29 percent of the UK train fleet still runs on diesel and freight trains run almost entirely on it.
