A 22-year-old killed his father and chopped his body up into 25 pieces, following an argument over a property dispute in New Delhi, India. Local police arrested the youth, identified only by his first name Aman.

According to local media Hindustan Times, Aman and his friend were trying to dispose off the dismembered parts outside his home when police arrested them. Police said Aman had been asking his father, Sandesh Aggarwal, 48, to register a property in his name.

The duo had been having fights over the property for the past few days. With Aman’s elder brother and mother away, the father and son were alone at home on the day of the killing.

“On Tuesday night, they again had an argument and in a fit of rage Aman first assaulted his father and then stabbed him multiple times,” senior police officer Meghna Yadav told local media.

Another police officer said: "He later called a friend to help him dispose off the body. They chopped the body into 25 pieces and stuffed them into two bags and some black-coloured polythene packets bought from a chicken shop."

A neighbor spotted Aman and his friend from his balcony keeping the blood-stained bags and packets in a car. The neighbor informed police, who reached the scene and arrested the duo.

The victim's brother told police that Aman had threatened to kill his father about a month ago. He also accused the victim's wife and other children of being involved in the murder plot, local TV network NDTV reported.

"All of them often used to harass my brother, who owned a cosmetic shop, over property issues. A court case was already going on and Sandesh had already transferred half of his property to his wife and children, but they also wanted the shop," Sandesh's brother told police.

Police said they were investigating the case to see if other family members were involved. The victim was survived by his three sons and a daughter.
