  • Mariah Carey's daughter Monroe was turned away by a McDonald's employee who took orders via Intercom
  • Monroe praised herself for being "good at acting"
  • Carey took photos with the store employees who were pleasantly surprised with her arrival at the store

Mariah Carey and her daughter Monroe Cannon visited McDonald’s in Aspen, Colorado, and casually pranked its employees before the so-called queen of Christmas revealed her identity.

The “All I Want For Christmas Is You” singer posted the video of the prank on her Instagram page Thursday showing her family’s visit to a local McDonald’s while vacationing in Aspen.

In the first prank, 10-year-old Monroe orders a Mariah Carey T-shirt, beanie and a Big Mac at the drive-through window using a raspy and aggressive New York accent. The man on the opposite side of the intercom then responds, “Ma’am, I actually can’t understand you. Can you order at the window. I apologize.”

The man’s reply sent the family laughing, but Monroe refused his request. He then asks, "Uh, ma'am? Can you please leave the store and never come back? Thank you very much."

His curt response sent the family laughing. "We just pranked the man," Monroe said in the video. "He told us to never come back because I'm so good at acting."

Carey quickly reminded her daughter to maintain "humility," but praised her, saying she "killed it" with her performance.

In the second prank, Carey’s assistants attempted to order a Big Mac, orange juice and coffee in Portuguese. The store employee can be seen shaking his head as the two assistants animatedly place their orders.

After the frustrating scene, Carey said, “I’m gonna have to go in there and try to act regular. “

The singer enters the store in a glittering red dress with a plunging neckline and heels. Inside the store, she complimented an employee wearing the Mariah menu shirt.

“I hope I'm not overdressed," she said, before asking for the manager of the store.

The “Fantasy” singer ordered a Big Mac and checked out the Mariah Menu bag before mingling and taking pictures with employees.

She concluded the video by saying, “Listen, this was so fun and spontaneous. If I were a little kid and dreaming of this, I never would've thought that it would happen, so Merry Christmas, I love you!"

Carey partnered with McDonald’s for the Mariah Menu, which gives customers free treats for every $1 minimum order on the restaurant’s mobile app. Select branches will also sell beanies with the singer’s signature.

On Dec. 21, the restaurant sold T-shirts with a throwback photo of the “One Sweet Day” singer enjoying a cheeseburger.
