Mark Wahlberg's brand Performance Inspired has teamed up with Accelerate's active lifestyle marketplace and community LifeToGo to donate 1.3 million disposable face masks to schools in 13 different states across the country.

The "Ted" star recorded a video to thank the essential workers for keeping everyone healthy and safe. LifeToGo also shared the clip on YouTube along with a short description about their donation.

"LifeToGo and parent company Accelerate 360 proudly joined forces with Performance Inspired Nutrition to donate more than 1.3 million face masks to schools across the country. We hope this donation will keep teachers, staff and students healthy and focused on the school year ahead," the caption read.

In the video, Wahlberg and Accelerate CEO David Parry shared how they worked together to come up with their donation. The "Patriots Day" actor also acknowledged the frontliners and thanked them for their hard work amid the global health crisis.

"You guys have kept us healthy, safe and supplied us with all the necessities. Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart," he said.

"To show our support, my company Performance Inspired bionutrition has partnered with Accelerate360 and LifeToGo to donate 1.3 million disposable masks to schools across our great country. Every day brings a new challenge but we continue to pray for you and for your families and please know your efforts are much appreciated. God bless you, stay safe. Thank you and you’re always in my thoughts and my prayers."

Meanwhile, Parry spoke about the challenges brought about by the pandemic especially on the essential workers on the frontlines who are working at the hospitals, schools and stores. He said that Accelerate wanted to give back to the communities across the country and its partnership with Wahlberg and Tom Dowd and their teams from LifeToGo and Performance Inspired enabled them to donate millions of masks to ensure that the teachers have the supplies they need as schools reopen.

"We appreciate everything you do to educate our youth. Please stay safe and healthy,” he said in a statement addressed to the teachers.

LifeToGo and Performance Inspired identified the schools in need and sent 3-ply masks to various institutions in Chicago, Cincinnati and San Antonio, as well as in Bentonville, Arizona; Boise, Idaho; Chicago; Cincinnati; Grand Rapids, Michigan; Lakeland, Florida; Minneapolis; Portland, Oregon; Quincy, Massachusetts; Rochester, New York; Salisbury, North Carolina; and Woonsocket, Rhode Island, Us Weekly reported.
