Matt Barnes had “the worst year of [his] life” in 2015 and ranted about it on Instagram New Year’s Eve. In a lengthy post titled “Success is what happens when you survive all your mistakes,” the Memphis Grizzlies forward slammed his estranged wife Gloria Govan, his former teammate Derek Fisher and Rihanna.

The beef between Barnes and Rihanna began in August when the singer slammed him for hinting to a TMZ photographer that they were dating.

“Thank God for 2016! 2015 hands down was the worst year of my life! Lost the women I loved, the mother of my kids, my Dogg ... I had to walk away from the only thing I’ve wanted, my own family! They call that karma,” he wrote. “To being traded away from a team & city I love! They call that the business.”

He continued: “Lied on by a pop star who’s lucky I stuck to the script & didn’t expose her lien a--. Funny thing about texts & pics is they don’t lie! I Guess they call that getting played.”

The 35-year-old basketball player went on to say that 2015 for him “played out like a bad reality show, a nightmare for your amusement & entertainment.”

Barnes sparked rumors he was dating the “FourFiveSeconds” singer when he made her his #WCW (Woman Crush Wednesday) on Instagram. He later told a TMZ photographer that he and Rihanna were “just past the crush stage.”

Well, Rihanna wasn’t pleased with Barnes’ comment and slammed him on Instagram. Posting a photograph of the athlete, she wrote: “#biswhere #thedevilisaliar #shesnotthatintoyou #shesnotintoyouatall #shesneverevenmetyou #thisactuallyhurtmyfeelings #defamationofcharacter.”

Rihanna hasn’t responded to Barnes’ Instagram rant.
