Meghan Markle stunned everyone when she attended the British Fashion Awards this week to honor Claire Waight Keller, who designed the gown she wore to marry Prince Harry. However, her appearance at the event also led to some ire amongst other celebs in attendance.

According to TMZ, security protocols that were put into place due to the Duchess of Sussex’s attendance led to some issues for the other celebrities at the event, especially since none of them were allegedly allowed to have any contact with the former “Suits” star.

According to the website, the backstage area was cordoned off by Royal Protection officers and security guards the entire night, and a tactic known as “Royal Movement” was in place, which meant that when the Duchess was on the move, all hallways and stairs had to then be kept clear.

As a result, several of the other stars there, like Kendall Jenner, Rita Ora, the Beckhams and Model of the Year winner Kaia Gerber were all denied a chance to meet with Markle.

As for who was allowed near the Duchess, only Keller and actress Rosamund Pike, who co-presented Keller’s award with Markle, received that honor.
