Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s Christmas card received thumbs down from some royal fans.

On Friday, Kensington Palace released the royals’ holiday cards including the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s. In the snap, Prince Harry and Markle have their backs on the camera as they watch the fireworks. While the photo appears romantic and intimate, it still failed to impress everyone. One fan even finds it insulting.

“I have to say that if I got a Christmas card from Harry and Meghan (yeah like that would happen) I would be insulted that they had turned their backs to me,” Shirley Wainwright wrote on Twitter.

Meanwhile, another fan wasn’t happy about the black and white effect. Since the photo lacks vibrant colors, the fan didn’t appreciate it and even compared it to a war zone.

“Not that my opinion matters but I’m not entirely sure about Harry & Meghan's Christmas card image ... it looks like they are overseeing a war zone rather than fireworks! Should have been in colour,” Vanessa V wrote.

Another Twitter user said Prince Harry and Markle’s snap has that Hollywood vibe. Body language expert Judi James shared the same observation. She compared Prince Harry and Markle’s Christmas card to an advertisement for a James Bond movie.

According to James, the shot was glamorous compared to Prince William and Kate Middleton’s. While the Duke and Duchess of Sussex used their wedding photo, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge kept it casual by wearing jeans in their holiday card.

James felt that Prince Harry and Markle are inviting their fans to admire their “cool, romantic A-lister lifestyle.” She finds both photos gorgeous but completely contrasting.

This is Prince Harry and Markle’s first Christmas card together. Last year, they didn’t have a Christmas card since they were not married yet, but the former “Suits” star celebrated the holidays with the royals. Markle was even the first royal fiancée to be invited to Sandringham. Markle’s mom was expected to spend the holidays in London, too. The Queen reportedly invited Doria Ragland for a special dinner.

Prince Harry, Markle, Prince William and Middleton are reportedly feuding. However, the fab four are expected to spend Christmas together with Queen Elizabeth II and the rest of the members of the royal family.
