Meghan Markle changed her fashion to impress the royals.

Back in March, the Duchess of Sussex was invited to join the royal family for the Commonwealth Day. It was Markle’s first engagement with the Queen. Royal experts Emily Andrews and Omid Scobie described the event on “On Heir” as “Meghan’s big debut” and added that it was “pretty intimidating” because she was not officially a royal at the time.

The Duchess of Cambridge and Duchess of Sussex are reportedly feuding. However, royal experts claim they were noticeably supportive of each other during the event that Markle even changed her fashion to impress her then-future-sister-in-law.

“A massive first for her and so there’s no doubt she would have wanted to put every foot right, including with what she was wearing,” Scobie said (via Express). “We saw a departure from the other more casual looks we’ve seen her in.”

“She was very formerly dressed, she was wearing Amanda Wakeley, which of course was one of Diana’s favourite designers, it’s a designer Camilla has worn and Kate has also worn,” Andrews added.

Markle looked every bit of a duchess in her navy mini dress, white coat and beret. She also wore footwear similar to Middleton’s navy court heels.

According to Andrews, Middleton “seemed to smile back” at Markle to tell her “you’re doing great” upon arrival. Andrews found it “really nice” for the Duchess of Cambridge to do such a thing.

However, according to body language expert Judi James, Middleton and Markle’s alleged row was already visible in their first royal engagement together in February. Markle reportedly mirrored Middleton as an integration technique. Although they were photographed smiling, James found their shots “misleading.”

“For me, the very first signs of potential future rifts between these two women came when they appeared on stage together with their husbands with the objective of re-branding them as some kind of ‘Fab Four’ that would be working together on charitable cause,” James said.

During the same event, Prince William and Prince Harry admitted that there was friction among them. However, they only laughed about it with the Duke of Sussex joking that they were stuck together for the rest of their lives.

Another insider claimed that Middleton and Markle’s “ghastly row” began last Christmas. The duchesses have reportedly been feuding for a year now.
