Following the announcement that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry will no longer be considered working royals, those close to the former “Suits” star revealed the former actress is ecstatic to be away from the royal family.

Since Meghan married Harry in 2018, the couple has come under fire for their non-traditional decisions. Now that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been allowed to live their lives outside of the royal family, the 38-year-old has opened up about her new outlook.

Sources told the Daily Mail that Meghan is happy with her new life in Canada with Prince Harry and baby Archie. “Meghan has been telling her close friends that this is the best thing that could ever happen to Harry,” an insider revealed.

“That out of anyone he will flourish the most and that it was her love for him that made this possible,” the source said.

The friend claimed Meghan felt unwelcome in the UK and didn’t know how much longer she and Prince Harry would last amid the negative press. “She said that like her, his spirit was being crushed, and she simply couldn't bear to see him suffer anymore,” the insider shared

The couple reportedly felt their only choice was to step back from their royal duties. “Meghan felt she had to escape because living within the royal confines was soul-crushing,” the source explained.

“She told her inner circle of friends that her soul was being crushed and that the decision to leave was a matter of life or death.”

Following the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s split the royal family, Prince Harry has returned to Canada, where he is expected to reunite with Meghan and Archie at the $14 million mansion the family has been temporarily calling home.
