Meghan Markle made a wrong move at Wimbledon after the photo snub scandal.

The Duchess of Sussex is making headlines after her security staff claimed to have asked spectators at Wimbledon to refrain from taking pictures of her because she was there in a private capacity. Markle made a surprise appearance at the tournament to support her friend Serena Williams.

However, in the zoomed-in photos shared by Express, the spectator was actually not taking photos of the Duchess of Sussex. Instead, he was taking a selfie and the former “Suits” star was not found on the screen.

He might have taken a photo of Markle later, but he was mainly concerned about getting a photo of himself at one of the tennis’ biggest tournaments.

PR consultant Sally Jones who was in the same row as Markle’s confirmed that they were asked by staff to not take photos. She added that she didn’t notice Markle until her staff requested them to refrain from taking photos of the duchess.

She felt that the staff Markle asked to do the request was “quite embarrassed” and “appeared a bit mystified” when asked to do so.

Jones said that he was a royalist and was saddened that such a move would only weaken their impact because it made them look “silly” and “childish” while taking others for fools.

Meanwhile, E! News chief correspondent criticized Markle for the photo snub incident. According to her, this only made Markle look bad.

Bromley pointed out the criticisms that Markle received daily and said that while she didn’t need to bow down to the criticisms, she should avoid instances like snubbing photos because it would only make her look bad especially since she was at a public event.

“There is a fine line at the moment when it comes to entitlement,” Bromley said.

“If you are in front of thousands of people, it really isn’t. When you have got the public paying for your lifestyle. The public is what is paying for you to sit there on your free ticket.”

Prince Harry and Markle have been slammed by the public for keeping her pregnancy plan a secret. They faced another round of criticisms when they opted to make their son Archie’s baptism private. One netizen said that the couple could live private lives if they want to, but they should stick to private funding and stop using the public’s money.
