Meghan Markle’s pregnancy body language has just been compared with Kate Middleton’s.

Judi James, an expert on body language, told Express that the Duchess of Sussex will become an openly doting and enthusiastic mother. This is because while Markle is pregnant, she has been cradling her baby bump at all times.

Middleton, on the other hand, was quite different than Markle during her pregnancy with Prince Louis. She was described as quietly besotted and subtly doting of her third child. But it is important to note that Markle is pregnant with her first baby, and her body language may change once she’s carrying her third child.

James also said that Markle became pregnant at an age when Middleton already had three children. This is why there is excitement on her facial expression during her pregnancy, while Middleton was calmer.

Additionally, Middleton’s “bump behavior” is reportedly more indicative of her more formal, careful, and understated approach to being a royal.

“While Meghan’s more open style of sharing her story leads to the kind of announcement gestures that form a very public declaration of her delight and pride at being a mother to be,” James said.

Meanwhile, the expert said that Middleton’s body language did not change during her pregnancy. She was still confident, practical, and very much business as usual.

“You’d probably look at her face rather than her bump and – put bluntly – she probably wouldn’t get a seat on a bus using subtle bump body language like this, while Meghan’s much more obvious and empathic pregnancy signals would get people budging up in an instant,” she said.

James also said that Markle can be considered a bump-toucher from the day that her pregnancy was announced in October. She also enjoys talking about her baby and her pregnancy with royal fans unlike the Duchess of Cambridge. According to James, this could mean that Markle’s pregnancy is her favorite topic of choice.

Markle’s baby and upcoming due date also help build rapport between her and the people she’s meeting rather than keeping a more private approach to the baby.
