Meghan Markle will likely ask her husband, Prince Harry, to take a paternity leave.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are already on the last leg of their Commonwealth tour. When they arrived in Sydney, the couple announced that they are expecting. Markle is expected to have a maternity leave like Kate Middleton. It's still unsure if Prince Harry will do the same, but his wife might ask him to take a leave, too.

"Meghan would want it too," Fitzwilliams said (via Express). "I would certainly expect Harry to take paternity leave as it gives him a unique opportunity to bond with the new baby and I feel sure Meghan would want it too."

Prince William also took a paternity leave when Prince George and Princess Charlotte were born. He was entitled to two weeks leave.

Prince William was working as a Sea King helicopter pilot at RAF Valley in Anglesey when Prince George arrived in 2013. He also took a two-week leave as an air ambulance helicopter pilot when they welcomed Princess Charlotte in 2015. However, the Duke of Cambridge took a shorter leave after his second son was delivered.

Technically, he actually didn't take a paternity leave and only took a few days off to be with newborn Prince Louis. In fact, three days after Prince Louis was born, Prince William was seen attending the Anzac Day Service of Commemoration and Thanksgiving in Westminster Abbey.

Now that Prince Harry and Markle are about to start their own family with their first baby on the way, the two princes are reportedly considering a formal division. Prince Harry and Prince William have been working together for years but may create separate courts to reflect their different duties and needs.

"The brothers have leant on each other and looked after each other since their mother died," a source told The Times. "But now they have their own families, they longer rely on each other as before."

In related news, Prince Harry didn't give Markle the same promise Middleton received from Prince William. The Duke of Cambridge guaranteed Middleton that she could keep her family even after their royal wedding.

On the other hand, Markle already cut ties with her dad and siblings on the father side. The only family member that the Duchess of Sussex is still in contact with is her mom, Doria Ragland.
