Meghan Markle were already showing signs that she would be a duchess during her stint in "Deal or No Deal."

According to "Deal or No Deal" host Howie Mandel, Prince Harry's wife had the makings of royalty. "She was slightly duchessy," Mandel said during a Television Critics Association summer press tour panel on Wednesday, People reported.

"That speaks to who we have now and who we had then. Not everybody will have an opportunity to meet royalty, but these are all accomplished people that have something substantial. They’re not just standing there holding a case — they have careers, they have hobbies, they have families, they’re entrepreneurial," he continued. "So when somebody like [Prince] Harry meets somebody who just happened to be on our show, there's a lot to offer!"

Markle, who is active in promoting women's rights, admits that her appearance on "Deal or No Deal" is among the things she did to "make ends meet." According to the Duchess of Sussex, it was very difficult and she's unlikely to do it again.

"I would put that in the category of things I was doing while I was auditioning to try to make ends meet," Markle said. "I would end up standing up there forever in these terribly uncomfortable and inexpensive five-inch heels just waiting for someone to pick my number so I could go and sit down."

"I went from working in the US Embassy in Argentina to ending up on 'Deal.' It's run the gamut," the Duchess of Sussex recalled. "Definitely working on 'Deal or No Deal' was a learning experience, and it helped me to understand what I would rather be doing."

In related news, Markle just celebrated her 37th birthday on Saturday. Unlike her special day last year, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex didn't travel abroad. Instead, they attended Charlie van Straubenzee and Daisy Jenk's wedding.

Prince William and Middleton were expected to attend the same event, but they were not seen in the ceremony. It’s believed that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were still in Mustique at that time.

On the said event, Markle and Prince Harry made headlines due to a wardrobe malfunction. The new royal was accused of deliberately flashing her black lace bra to steal the show. On the other hand, the duke's shoe was photographed with a hole in it.
