Meghan Markle's Zucchini Bolognese Recipe As Delicious As She Claims, Writer Says
Meghan Markle loves cooking and one fan tries her zucchini bolognese recipe and it didn't disappoint her boyfriend.
According to Erica Tempesta of Daily Mail, the Duchess of Sussex's vegetarian version of zucchini bolognese recipe has resurfaced, so she decided to try it. The recipe includes slow-cooking zucchini for four hours until it breaks into a "filthy, sexy, mush." Tempesta tried it for her boyfriend, Chris, who was very impressed with it.
"Just like the royal wedding, this pasta came with a big buildup and did not disappoint," he said about the dish.
Markle gushed about the sauce when she shared her recipe to Delish. According to the new royal, "The sauce gets so creamy, you'd swear there's tons of butter and oil in it, but it's just zucchini, water and a little bouillon."
Tempesta tried to follow Markle's recipe, but since it was too vague, she ended up following an abridged version of Delish's take on the said recipe. According to her, the preparation was easy, but it chained her to her apartment most of the day.
When she served it to her boyfriend, his initial reaction was: "It's good." Tempesta felt that he was not as enthusiastic about the dish. However, when he grabbed his second serving, she's convinced that he was pleased with it.
"That Meghan Markle is really on to something," Chris added.
Tempesta confessed that as Markle promised, the sauce was good. "I was also impressed with the sauce, which was flavorful mush, just like she promised. However, like most pasta dishes, I think it was really the Parmesan cheese that made it great," she said.
Markle loves food, but she will not be able to eat most of her favorites now that she's an official royal. For instance, she couldn't eat pasta and potatoes when she visits the Queen at the Buckingham Palace because the monarch banned these from her menu.
In addition, she's not allowed to eat seafood when dining abroad. The royals reportedly avoid this dish due to the risk it poses when it comes to food poisoning.
"We don't want a member of the Royal family having a serious reaction to food poisoning, especially if she is on an overseas tour," former royal butler Grand Harrold said.
