Meghan Markle gave an update about her pregnancy at Prince Charles’ investiture.

On Tuesday, Markle and Prince Harry joined Prince Charles, Queen Elizabeth II, Camilla Parker Bowles, Prince William, Kate Middleton and more royals to celebrate the Prince of Wales’ 50th investiture anniversary.

During the event, the Duchess of Sussex talked to a guest from Cardiff, Wales who asked her how she was doing. The man added that he was sure Markle hears the question from everyone.

“No, it’s actually very sweet,” Markle responded (via People) “It’s a very sweet, nurturing thing to ask. We’re nearly there!” the duchess added, hinting at her imminent due date.

Since Markle got pregnant easily, many were wondering if she was already expecting when she married Prince Harry back in May. A number of netizens in this thread don’t think so considering the couple’s wedding date.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex exchanged vows on May 19. It’s almost 10 months since their royal wedding and their baby has not arrived yet.

According to Samantha Andrews, an observer of the royal family since 1963, if Markle were actually pregnant on her big day and the baby goes to full term, the duchess’ delivery would be around Feb. 9 the latest. She added that if the baby turns up after the said date, then Markle was not pregnant on her wedding day, which is exactly the case.

Many did the math and agreed that Markle wasn’t pregnant on her big day because if she were, then the royal’s new addition should have already arrived.

There are rumors that Prince Harry and Markle’s baby is due in April. So, it’s likely that the duchess conceived the baby in July, two months after she married Prince Harry.

In related news, Markle was accused of faking her pregnancy. The rumor resurfaced again following her extravagant baby shower in New York a few weeks ago.

One netizen shared a snap of a woman who looked like Markle with a flat tummy on Twitter. However, most of the netizens weren’t convinced with the photo and debunked the claim by pointing out that the woman in the photo wasn’t Markle but her friend Abigail Spencer who attended her baby shower. Markle’s “Suits” co-star was photographed wearing the exact outfit in the controversial photo when she arrived in New York.
