  • Mick Jagger reportedly splurged on a Florida mansion for his girlfriend, Melanie Hamrick
  • The area's privacy was a "major factor" in the purchase, a report says
  • The couple has been spending time together during the lockdowns, previous reports claimed

Mick Jagger bought his girlfriend Melanie Hamrick a Florida mansion near Sarasota for Christmas, a report said.

The ballet dancer, 34, will make the state her home base, an unnamed source told Page Six, after she left the American Ballet Theatre in 2019 to focus on her family. Hamrick and the Rolling Stones lead singer, 77, share a 4-year-old son, Deveraux.

Jagger reportedly considered privacy as a “major factor” in choosing their home away from New York and London. The insider also told the outlet that the couple will spend the holidays in London before heading to the musician’s Mustique house.

Friends of the pair reportedly hope to see Jagger and Hamrick getting married soon as the couple's relationship is still going strong. However, his pals “aren’t buying wedding gifts just yet,” a source said.

“Time will tell. In the meantime, the two are happy playing house in all of Mick’s properties around the world,” the insider added.

The source also revealed that Jagger plans to tour again in 2021 since he “has made a complete recovery, and is making his signature moves in private rehearsals.” Moreover, the artist has also allegedly been telling people that the Rolling Stones want to return to the stage when possible.

This came months after it was reported that Hamrick and Jagger’s relationship is “heating up” amid the pandemic. Another Page Six source claimed in July that the couple has been together since mid-March, when the pandemic started.

Jagger and his girlfriend also holed up in Tuscany and were spotted with their son at a beach in Italy having fun together. At the time, friends of the couple told the source that they “consider” them a married pair.

“Mick’s pals say they haven’t seen him this happy in decades, and he has finally settled down. It only took a heart attack and pandemic,” the insider added.

Hamrick was also there when Jagger underwent a heart surgery that postponed his band’s tour in North America last year. After the operation, he revealed that he was “feeling pretty good” and had been rehearsing with his band.

Jagger also admitted that he loves touring but doesn’t do it like when he was younger.

Brazilian fans have nicknamed Mick Jagger “pé frio,” a term for a person who brings back luck, because they believe the Rolling Stones front man is the kiss of death for teams playing in the World Cup.
