Miley Cyrus continues to promote her new music video “Mother’s Daughter” online. Her most recent social media post about virginity has divided the internet, and the singer has been subjected to some personal attacks for her views.

“Virginity is a social construct,” Cyrus wrote in her recent Instagram post.

She used a picture of her crotch that is covered with metal teeth to share her message. The picture is actually from her music video in which she wears a red latex suit and jewelry in her hands.

Cyrus’ post led to some people agreeing with her and supporting her for voicing her views, while others attacked her for sharing such views online. The comments on a similar post the singer shared recently were particularly harsh.

The social media posts that Cyrus has been sharing recently have been about feminism and freedom, which is also the theme of the song “Mother’s Daughter.” The song featured a cameo appearance of Cyrus’ mother, and some of her fans want her to do another collaboration with her dad.

“Not An Object,” the singer wrote in post on Instagram. “Tough t-tties,” she captioned another post that has the camera focused on her chest.

Earlier this month, Cyrus released the official music video of the song “Mother’s Daughter” on YouTube. The song is a part of her new EP titled “She Is Coming.” The video has over 26 million views as of this writing.

Among the issues that Cyrus tackles in the video is that women of different sizes and races are all beautiful. “Every woman is a riot,” the text in the video reads. She also looks at gender issues, asking the viewers to respect people’s choice of pronouns.

Cyrus also celebrates motherhood in the video with a video of a woman breastfeeding her child. The music video is supposed to be about women’s empowerment.
