At least three buildings were involved in a massive fire that broke out at Silver Sands State Park in Connecticut’s Milford on Tuesday night.
The fire broke out at 10.40 p.m. EDT and was so intense that it was seen on the weather radar. The buildings that were destroyed in the fire inside the park were part of a $9.1 million construction project that included restrooms, a concession building and an office.
The construction started in 2018 and was supposed to be open to the public by the Memorial Day weekend this year, Connecticut News reported.
