The New York Knicks host the Milwaukee Bucks on Monday, January 9 in a big NBA Eastern Conference matchup at the Madison Square Garden.

Both teams are coming off contrasting last assignments.

The Bucks lost to the Charlotte Hornets, 109-138, while the Knicks snuck past the Toronto Raptors, 112-108.

In that loss to the Hornets, the Bucks failed to check Terry Rozier, who finished the regulation with a game-high 39 points.

Bobby Portis held up the fort for Milwaukee off the bench with 19 points and 12 rebounds.

Backing him up were Grayson Allen and Jrue Holiday, who chipped in 12 points each.

Curiously, Giannis Antetokounmpo finished the game with only nine points in the game in 22 minutes of action.

His previous low this season was 16 points on two occasions.

The Bucks are averaging 112.4 points per game and shooting 45.5% from the field.

Moreover, they are norming 49.3 rebounds per contest.

On the defensive end, Milwaukee is limiting opponents to 115.5 points per game and allowing the opposition 45.3% from the field.

Against the Raptors, their first win in Canada since 2015, Julius Randle led the way with a triple-double performance of 32 points, 11 rebounds, and 10 assists.

Jalen Brunson lent a helping hand with 26 points and eight assists.
