National Banana Bread Day falls on Feb. 23 every year to celebrate the undying love for tasty sliced snacks. We love banana bread all the more because it has the same texture as cakes and is as moist.

Also, there is no replacement for banana bread when it comes to healthily satisfying your sweet cravings. One can easily guess from its name that banana bread is made by using ripe bananas and tastes better if you have it with a generous coating of butter. The sweet treats are the perfect pairing of fruit and bread, which is why they make for a filling breakfast option.

Many of the home bakers may have successfully tried their hands on dishing out the fluffiest banana bread. However, we are guessing that there are still some novices who are looking for the simplest recipe to make the cut.

Ingredients:

  • 2-3 peeled ripe bananas
  • 1/3 cup melted butter, unsalted or salted as per your preference
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • Pinch of salt
  • 3/4 cup sugar (reduce the amount to 1/2 cup in case you want your bread to be less sweet)
  • 1 beaten egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 ½ cups of all-purpose flour

Procedure:

  • Take a large mixing bowl and mash the bananas with the help of a fork until completely smooth.
  • Add melted butter to the bowl and keep stirring.
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 4x8-inch loaf pan with butter.
  • Add the baking soda and salt into the mixing bowl. Stir in the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract. Next, add the flour.
  • Pour the nicely beaten batter into the loaf pan and bake for 50 minutes to 1 hour at 350°F (175°C). Insert a tester into the bread and see if it comes out clean.
  • Remove the baked bread from the oven and keep it aside until it cools down completely. You can slice the bread with a bread-knife and serve.
