Need For Speed Payback has officially been revealed, and it’s set to release Nov. 10 on Xbox One, PS4 and PC. Developed by the series’ dedicated creators at Ghost Games, this new title features a story of revenge that very much channels The Fast And The Furious.

According to the game’s executive producer Marcus Nilsson, the goal is to deliver “the deepest customization, an impressive roster of cars, intense races and open world pursuits.” All these elements work in tandem to provide what’s referred to as “an all new blockbuster driving experience.”

When it comes to the trailer in particular, much of the emphasis was placed on narrative. Set in the underworld of Fortune Valley, three characters will clash against a nefarious cartel called The House that essentially controls the entire region. Based on location and plot points, players will swap perspectives between the trio of protagonists. Your heroes include Tyler The Racer, Mac The Snowman and Jess The Wheelman. Above all, the campaign has been touted as “a gripping story of betrayal and revenge.”

Not much can be seen with regard to specific features, but we do know that Payback will very much revel in the deep vehicle customization inherent in street race culture. In fact, it’s suggested that the game’s personalization options are so deep that racers will be able to transform a total clunker into an absolute masterclass car.

And, because no new game reveal would be without them, Need For Speed Payback has a bevy of pre-order bonuses and dedicated fan incentives. Those who choose to invest early will get a free Platinum Car Pack with five unique cars: the Nissan 350Z 2008, Chevrolet Camaro SS 1967, Dodge Charger R/T 1969, Ford F-150 Raptor 2016 and Volkswagen Golf GTI Clubsport 2016.

That’s not all however, because there’s a more costly Deluxe Edition too. It offers up to three days of early access, exclusive customization items, in-game discounts and rep bonuses in addition to the complete Platinum Car Pack. Subscribers to EA and Origin Access will also be privy to the standard 10-hour demo period that will go live starting Nov. 2. A 10 percent discount on the full game is available for members as well.

If you want to know more about Need For Speed Payback, be sure to tune in to EA’s EA Play event starting June 10. During the multi-day convention, the public will learn about the publisher’s 2017 lineup including Payback, Star Wars Battlefront II and a whole lot more. We suspect we’ll see more in the way of gameplay at that time.

Need For Speed Payback comes to Xbox One, PS4 and PC Nov. 10. In case you’re curious about a possible Nintendo Switch version, we haven’t heard anything yet which leads us to assume it’s probably not coming.
