Police in Montana on Thursday announced the arrest of a man in connection with the seven-month disappearance of his girlfriend.

Gregory Scott Green, 53, was arrested in Henderson, Nevada, and charged with deliberate homicide, according to a press release by the Billings Police Department. The missing woman, Laura Johnson, 49, had not been seen since Sept. 13 and was reported missing on Sept. 24.

The Henderson Detention Center told International Business Times that Green is detained at its facilities.

Detectives had seen a neighbor's security camera footage that showed Green carrying an object in a red blanket "cradle style" from his garage to his work truck that was the size and shape of a body.

According to the Billings Gazette, detectives also did a search of Green's home and saw he had new carpeting that he had bought days after Johnson had disappeared, as well as blood stains on the driver's side door that were consistent with Johnson when compared to Johnson's biological parents.

In February, Green was arrested in Nevada on domestic battery charges unrelated to Johnson.

Detectives believe Green hid Johnson's body in a rural area outside Billings. Police have asked residents in the city's surrounding areas for help finding Johnson's body.
