A police officer in New Jersey prevented a Taco Bell outlet from catching fire by removing a burning SUV from its main entrance. His sharp-minded approach was recorded by an onlooker.

In the video, which was shared by Stafford Township Police Department on Facebook, Keith Oler, the responding officer, is seen pushing the burning vehicle away with the help of his patrol car, thus preventing further damage to the building.

“Officer Oler arrived just in time to assist with a vehicle fire at the Taco Bell drive through today. Great job Officer Oler!!” the post read.

The police department spokesperson Capt. James Vaughn said the incident happened on Sunday on Route 72 East in Manahawkin, when a parked SUV caught fire and then started to spread to the lower part of the building, NJ.Com reported.

Vaughn said Oler’s action made the agency and the law enforcement proud. Neither Oler nor anyone present at the scene was injured. Police said a mechanical issue is believed to have been behind the fire outbreak and that they didn’t deem the cause suspicious. The vehicle was later towed from the area.

It is mostly characteristic of cops to show valiance in dire circumstances. In March, senior Sergeant Peter Graham in New Zealand was awarded with a bronze medal by the nation’s Royal Humane Society for preventing two Rottweilers from fatally mauling an autistic Southland resident, Oliver Beaumont, two years ago. Graham, who was off-duty at the time and was driving by, took a u-turn after witnessing the incident and jumped at Beaumont’s rescue. He said the dogs forced themselves onto Beaumont while he lay on the ground helpless. Graham was joined by a few onlookers in his bid to rescue the victim.
