Rumors about Nina Dobrev being heartbroken about ex-boyfriend Austin Stowell’s alleged romance with Emma Stone are not true, Gossip Cop reported Monday, debunking a Celebrity Dirty Laundry piece on the former couple. Dobrev and Stowell parted ways in February after dating for seven months.

“Nina Dobrev Heartbroken: Ex-Boyfriend Austin Stowell Dating Emma Stone, Battle of the Sexes Co-Star,” Celebrity Dirty Laundry declared in a headline. The report questioned: “Is this latest round of the Hollywood game of ‘Who is Dating Who?’ causing Nina unbearable heartbreak and considering a return to ‘The Vampire Diaries’ to hide the pain?”

“Nina hasn’t been romantically linked to anyone since calling it quits with Austin sometime before Super Bowl 50 … Let’s face it, Emma is a step up from Nina Dobrev! Emma has starred in several Hollywood blockbusters — ‘The Amazing Spider-Man,’ ‘The Amazing Spider-Man 2’ and the Oscar winning film ‘The Help’,” the report said.

However, Gossip Cop dismissed the Celebrity Dirty Laundry’s report, saying Dobrev was not “heartbroken” over a non-existent romance between Stowell and Stone. The rumor debunking website called the Celebrity Dirty Laundry’s report speculative.

In January, it was reported that “The Vampire Diaries” star and Stowell broke up because of their work schedules. Dobrev was spotted without Stowell at the Super Bowl in February as well as on Valentine’s Day, triggering speculation of a troubled relationship. On Valentine’s Day, she posted a photo of herself with friends on Instagram.

In April, 27-year-old Dobrev was romantically linked with Scott Eastwood after the two were spotted getting flirty at Coachella’s Neon Carnival after-party. However, neither of them addressed the rumors.
