The “Red Dead Redemption 2” PC version is one of the most awaited Rockstar Games releases. Gamers have high expectations about the latest version of the Wild West-themed sequel considering that it was advertised with improved graphics and new features not available in the console version. But, it appears that one of the gamers’ expectations about the game is not happening as confirmed by NVIDIA.

“Red Dead Redemption 2” PC will certainly offer a lot of new options and features that gamers will surely enjoy. However, NVIDIA seemingly confirmed that it would not feature ray tracing. The official confirmation comes from the Twitter account of NVIDIA, which shared several gorgeous 4K “Red Dead Redemption 2” PC screenshots with the GeForce RTX logo on them.

The Twitter post was later followed by another post that clarified that it did not mean to imply that the “Red Dead Redemption 2” PC version will have ray tracing in any way. The confirmation is a bit of a disappointment, but given what Rockstar Games has prepared for the gamers, the absence of a ray-tracing feature will not be a deal-breaker. Earlier today, several techs and gaming sites reported having been able to get their hands on the “Red Dead Redemption 2” PC version.

Kirk McKeand of VG24/7 shared his experience when he played the “Red Dead Redemption 2” PC version for the first time. The game’s upcoming port features a Photo Mode, which is a new feature that enables players to pan out, zoom, and take photos of the game. It also allows players to determine exposure, contrast, and focus distance.

Moreover, the Photo Mode, according to McKeand, even allows players to add filters on their captured “Red Dead Redemption 2” PC photos. The Photo Mode will be available on the PC version of the game at launch, but so far, it is not yet clear if Rockstar Games will make the mode available in the console version of the game. In addition to the Photo mode, “Red Dead Redemption 2” PC will also come with the Frontier Pursuits update and “Red Dead Online.”
