One of the jurors in the Harvey Weinstein case has deleted all her social media accounts after getting death threats following the trial’s verdict. The news comes after the interview she gave to a media outlet regarding the case.

According to Page Six, the juror’s sister has revealed that she [the juror] has been receiving a lot of life-threatening messages and emails after the verdict. She further noted that the people, who sent her those messages, called her a “snitch” and tried to make her realize that she has done a wrong thing.

“She started getting threats on social media and through e-mails [saying] that she is a snitch and how could she do that,” the juror’s younger sister said.

The juror’s sister did not stop there and explained how those threats managed to make her feel scared, forcing her to move out of her house in Harlem. Her social media accounts have been deactivated for three days now and she’s been refusing to pick up any calls.

“She deactivated her social media and left three days ago. She thought if she spoke once, everyone would leave her alone,” the sister said.

The revelation comes after the juror gave an interview to “Inside Edition” and revealed what role she played in bringing out the justice in the high-profile case. During the interview, she revealed that there was a lot of tension in the courtroom that day and everyone was quite nervous.

“Tensions were very high. Everyone was nervous. All I can say is that the temperature in the room was very high,” she said.

On Monday, the jury, consisting of seven men and five women, reached their verdict after five days of deliberation. Weinstein, 67, was found guilty of third-degree rape against former actress Jessica Mann and first-degree criminal sexual act against his former assistant Miriam Haley.

The group of women who testified against Weinstein included the likes of Annabella Sciorra, Haley, Mann, Dawn Dunning, Tarale Wulff, and Lauren Young.

Weinstein is also facing sex crime charges in Los Angeles for which he has yet to submit a plea. These charges stem from rape and assault accusations that allegedly occurred in 2013. He faces up to 28 years in prison.
