After a series of leaks from just about everywhere, “Overwatch 2” is an inevitable conclusion. The game’s existence was leaked ahead of its rumored announcement at Blizzard’s major event, the BlizzCon 2019. Today, there is another major “Overwatch 2,” and this time, it comes directly from the gaming studio itself.

Earlier, the Blizzard Gear official website featured “Overwatch 2” art, but it was now removed from the site. The art showcases the characters like Genji, Brigitte, Mercy, Mei, Echo, tracer, and Reinhardt, all sporting slightly new looks. While the characters still look like their old selves, the color schemes of their outfits have been noticeably tweaked.

The character that got the biggest tweak is the cyborg ninja Genji, who was seen wearing ordinary clothes in the recently leaked “Overwatch 2” art. But, it is Echo that most fans would like to know more about and see in “Overwatch 2.” The character is allegedly Hero 32, who was previously hinted in the current ”Overwatch” game.

Echo was previously seen in the animated short “Reunion” in the current game where she was seen being reactivated by McCree. Rumors have it that Echo will play a crucial part in the story of “Overwatch 2.” Meanwhile, the piece of art that was removed from Blizzard Gear after it made rounds online is one of the most convincing evidence, by far, that an “Overwatch 2” announcement is happening at BlizzCon 2019. The hype it has created will definitely encourage fans to tune in on Nov.1 just to see if any of the rumors are accurate.

One of the biggest rumors about “Overwatch 2” is that it will reportedly replace “Overwatch.” Apparently, the current game will cease to exist and will be replaced by a new game with a new engine, new maps, new game modes, 4-player co-op PvE, and more. It is understandable that some fans are skeptical about this claim.

However, it is worth noting that at this point, we do not really know Blizzard’s plans for “Overwatch 2” or even to “Overwatch.” Whispers about “Overwatch 2” started earlier this year when Kotaku reported its existence. For now, we recommend taking these details with a pinch of salt. We will surely know more about “Overwatch 2” at this year’s BlizzCon.
