After four years of courtship, Paul McCartney finally exchanged vows in London with American heiress Nancy Shevell among 30 close friends and relatives.

Shevell, clad in McCartney's fashion designer daughter, Stella's elaborate creation presented a stunning picture. However, one detail that captured everyone's attention was the vintage eternity diamond band that McCartney gave Shevell during the Town Hall ceremony.

The band featured five carats of diamonds set in platinum by designer Neil Lane. In fact, Lane was also the designer of the five-carat diamond art-deco engagement ring that was presented to Shevell.

Another highlight of the occasion was the special love song composed by McCartney for his new wife.

There was a lovely song that our kid did, and they had a lovely dance together, CBS News quoted brother, Mike McCartney stating. That was a nice little highlight of the evening.

After the wedding, around 100 guests were invited for the special McCartney reception including Kate Moss, Twiggy, Rolling Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood, Barbara Walters and George Harrison's widow, Olivia.

Besides this, McCartney's four children, Stella, Beatrice, Mary and James were also present at the reception.
