In an interview with Paper Magazine, SNL’s Pete Davidson opened up about his relationships and the complete lack of an online persona.

Davidson publically dated several high-profile women in a relatively short time span, each time making headlines as a result. However, regardless of the length of those relationships, Davidson revealed he goes all out in his relationships, treating his girlfriends like “princesses.”

“My love language, when I'm in a relationship, is I treat the person I'm with like a princess,” he confessed. “I try and go as above and beyond as possible because that's what you're supposed to do.”

Davidson suggests that this “above and beyond” treatment could potentially be detrimental to a relationship, saying “it's very off-putting to some. Sometimes it works, and sometimes it doesn't.” Davidson may have learned a valuable lesson in all of this though, perhaps changing his outlook on relationships: “I have learned that anything you do, it just has to be 'cause you wanna do it.”

Davidson famously dated Grammy-winning singer Ariana Grande before moving on to 46-year-old Kate Beckinsale. He is currently rumored to be dating Cindy Crawford's daughter Kaia Gerber, an 18-year-old model, though he said in the new interview that “it’s nobody’s business” who he’s in a relationship with or how things are going, which is why he stays off the internet as much as possible.

His relationship with Grande, being the most widely publicized, displayed some of Davidson’s aforementioned dating philosophies. According to People, the couple got a total of nine tattoos together, including his tribute to the singer inked behind his ear, while she got his late father's badge number inked on her ankle.

After the pair broke up, Grande covered the tat with a tribute to her ex, Mac Miller, who passed away due to an overdose last fall.
