Piers Morgan became the latest victim of hackers online after a group allegedly used his Twitter account to post rude messages about high-profile personalities and fake news.

The 57-year-old journalist and TV personality's fans and followers were left shocked when his Twitter account started posting X-rated and abusive tweets Tuesday. Some of the slurs were directed at the late Queen Elizabeth II, former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson and Ed Sheeran, among others.

Morgan's account was allegedly hacked by a group that identified themselves as the "chuckling squad," according to the Daily Mail.

One of the posts read, "F--- the queen." Sheeran was also branded a "ginger p---k" and "ginger f----r" by the alleged hackers.

The apparent hackers also allegedly tweeted, "Get a f---ing haircut, you ugly b-m," directed at Johnson.

Several tweets included offensive language including the N-word and the R-word, according to Just Jared.

The alleged hackers also threatened to "leak DMs with high profiled celebrities" after getting "enough likes."

No celebrity DMs appeared to have been shared on the account, but the group posted a link to a Discord channel where the messages were reportedly being shared.

In addition to these, Morgan's account name was changed a number of times, including being changed to "lol" and "Michael." At one point, the account's name was changed to "Piers C–t."

As of press time, Morgan's name can be seen on his account again. However, the account lost its profile and banner photos. All of his tweets were also deleted.

Morgan has not released an official statement regarding the incident, but the alleged hacking occurred after he made headlines in the past few days.

The 57-year-old TV personality recently sparked backlash due to several comments, including his statements about Lionel Messi and the 2022 World Cup.

He accused the soccer superstar of gloating after the athlete continuously shared celebratory World Cup posts on social media.

Morgan was also criticized for claiming that the France team was "poisoned" before the World Cup final.

The journalist also raised eyebrows with his response to Jeremy Clarkson's The Sun op-ed about Meghan Markle.

In the piece, Clarkson expressed his desire for people to "throw lumps of excrement" at the Duchess of Sussex, saying he loathes her. It immediately became the Independent Press Standards Organisation's most complained-about article and has since been removed from the website.

"Imagine if all those screaming with rage about Jeremy Clarkson felt the same protective anger towards those who've branded our Royal Family callous lying racist bullies - without producing any actual evidence for these cruel allegations?" Morgan wrote on Twitter.
