PlayStation Plus Free Games October 2019: PS4 Games Up For Grabs

Sony has recently announced the next set of PlayStation Plus free games for October 2019. Naughty Dog’s “The Last Of Us Remastered” and Sony Interactive Entertainment’s baseball “MLB The Show 19” will be available for free next month. These two games are considered to be great steals for this year.

“The Last Of Us Remastered”

This title from Naughty Dog is known to be a masterpiece from the PlayStation 3 era. A greatly compelling story filled with tense, action-packed fights can be expected from this post-apocalyptic game. This game is known for racking up many awards, and it is even listed as third best-selling PlayStation game.

In this game, players will act as Joel, a man who has lost his family and simply surviving after a pandemic struck the world. The pandemic is known to be fungi-based and is turning the infected humans into deaf, mushroom-headed, vicious zombies. Throughout the story, he develops a bond with Ellie, a young girl who is the key to stopping the pandemic.

Playing this game is crucial in understanding the events in its upcoming sequel “The Last Of Us 2.” The full story of this next game is yet to be known but Joel and Ellie will still be part of the cast of the game. The sequel has been recently confirmed for release in Februrary 21, 2020, according to the latest State of Play livestream.

“MLB The Show 19”

This annual sport game is currently the latest entry of the franchise and features many new game modes for this title. Baseball fans and aspiring players can play against each other in the Diamond League to determine who is the best.

Other than making the game free for a whole month, Sony is also giving away free content for players who hop in-game this October. This free content is in the form of packs that contain playable trading cards of baseball superstars in-game.

These two games will be available for free PlayStation Plus download starting on Oct. 1 until Nov. 4. The current PlayStation Plus free games, namely: “Batman: Arkham Knight” and “Darksiders 3,” for September are still available until Sept. 30.
