  • PS Plus is a paid subscription service from Sony PlayStation
  • It gives members two free games every month
  • Sony may have shared the list of its free games ahead of time

Sony typically announces the list of games it plans to give away for free the following month on the last Wednesday of the current month. However, it appears that the company pulled the curtain back a little too early as its list of August 2021 PS Plus games was updated on the PlayStation website ahead of the official announcement.

Based on a screenshot shared on Neogaf, Sony listed two free games for PlayStation 4 and one free title for PS5. Although the company immediately took action and fixed the blunder, the cat is already out of the bag. If nothing changes between now and July 28, players could get their hands on these leaked games for free.

The leaked August 2021 PS Plus games for PlayStation 4 include "Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville" and "Tennis World Tour 2." Meanwhile, PS5 owners with PS Plus subscriptions can get "Hunter's Arena: Legends" for free next month.

The PlayStation website specifically listed "Hunte's Arena: Legends" as a bonus PS5 game. This means the PS Plus offer is exclusive to the game's PS5 version and does not include its PlayStation 4 port.

It can be recalled that the PlayStation blog previously mentioned that "Hunter's Arena: Legends" would be one of the free titles for August 2021 PS Plus games and it would be available to both PS4 and PS5 users.

Apparently, the recent leak contradicts the said blog post. "Hunter's Arena: Legends" is a 30-player battle royale title on Steam and is scheduled to release on PlayStation 4 and PS5 on August 3.

"Tennis World Tour 2," which is from Big Ant Studios, is available on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PS5, Xbox One and PC. The game was released in September 2020. The next-generation version of the game rolled out last March 2021.

Meanwhile, "Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville" is a third-person shooter title made by PopCap for Electronic Arts. The game is playable on Nintendo Switch, PS4, Xbox One and PC in September 2019.

PS Plus or PlayStation Plus is paid subscription service offered by PlayStation. It provides members two PlayStation 4 games to download every month for free.
